�We are pleased to introduce �Sunstar Overseas Ltd. India�, as one of the largest growers, processors and exporters of premium quality of Basmati and other varieties of rice in India. It has and annual export turnover of about USD 70 Million.

The company had established a dedicated Organic Farming Division to undertake the contractual farming of Organic Basmati Paddy in the year 2001 with 85 farmers and about 500 ha land which now has been grown in to about 1000 farmers having 3100 ha collective lands. This project is today the Largest Organic Basmati Rice Project in the world. This area is located in the foothills of Himalayas and irrigated by the snow fed Holy river of Ganges. It is most favorable for the cultivation of aromatic basmati rice. It imparts the �Natural Aroma� to the basmati grain which makes it the unique and best variety of rice being grown on the earth.

The organic farms and its produce has been inspected & certified by the certifying agency, Ecocert, Germany. We have got the certification of organic production as per EEC 2092/91, NOP/USDA, Bio-Suiss as well as Demeter (Bio-dynamic Agriculture) Standards.

Our rice is also Kosher Certified by Orthodox Union USA.  

We are also please to announce that our Farmers and the project are also Certified Fair Trade by FLO- Cert, Germany.  We have also been the First Company in the world to have exported Certified Organic Basmati Rice under Fair Trade Label from India.
