Photoinitiators is also known as a photosensitizer or photocuring agent. As the name suggests, UV coating is a system that “dries up” by UV radiation. The constituent in the paint accounted for receiving the UV radiation is a compound known as the photoinitiator. After receiving energy from the ultraviolet(**0~**0nm) or visible light(**0~**0nm), the photoinitiator undergoes a fragmentation reaction and transforms into free radicals or cations which initiates the polymerizing process or so-called dry-up process.
