High molecular weight polymer only slightly soluble in water, but soluble in oils, many hydrocarbon and aliphatic alcohol, ketones, ester etc. Molecules can esterification on both ends of the hydroxyl single or double ester were generated.

Its single ester is ionic of surfactant, also can and alcohol transamination ether.
