Polypropylene (PP)
 
Polypropylene (PP) is a very versatile plastic that can be found in many applications ranging from everyday items like chair, clothing and packaging, to automotive interior and bumpers. PP has relatively low density, good mechanical properties, chemical and fatigue resistance.
 
Cheng Yus development team has developed a broad range of PP compounds over the years suitable for different demanding applications and also to meet the different safety and environmental regulations.
 
Products Line Up
1. Heat Resistant
(PP**8H / PP**9H / PP**0H)

These are mineral modified (MD) filled type PP design to be use for injection moldings as well as extrusion sheets. Compare to unmodified PP, heat resistant PP have high heat deflection temperature (**0 to **0oC) thus improve thermal resistance, rigidity and reduce in mold shrinkages with better dimension stability.

Applications
Pot and jar, furniture parts, sheets, white good housings, water boiler, panel. Washing machine parts, toaster.


2. High Gloss
(HG**0 / HG**0)

These are special formulated PP with improve surface gloss and finish, improve heat resistance and shrinkage. In many cases, it could often be considered a replacement to certain hard plastic as PP is generally more economically, non toxic and easy to handle.

Applications
Coffee machine, iron, household appliances, vacuum cleaner, rice cooker.


3. Flame Retardant
(PP**2 / PP**5 / PP**5HD / PP**6)

We have developed a range of Flame Retardant (FR) PP grades meeting UL*4 V2 to V0 rating. They are designed to provide shocking resistance, thermal stability and good flow-ability.

Applications
Case for heat heater fan and electronics, consumer transformer, lighting parts.


4. Glass Fiber reinforced
(PP**6G1 / PP**7G2 / PP**8G3 / PP**7G2CC)

Glass Fiber (GF) reinforced PP have improve physical properties with even higher thermal resistance. In many cases if continual usage temperature is not over **0℃, PP with GF could replace PA and PBT GF material at almost no sacrifice in physical properties and chemical properties. Chemically coupled grade are also available for applications requiring greater impact and temperature resistance compare to traditional GF grades.

Applications
Structural parts in toy, tool housings, water impeller fans, air conditioner cooler fans, water pump parts.
