Quicklime, also known as calcium oxide or burnt lime is obtained by calcining pure limestone at temperature level of **0°C to ***0°C. The quality of Quick Lime is dependent on the quality of raw material used. That is the reason we hand pick the best quality lime stone from our associated mines. Chemically Quick Lime is highly reactive product and is essential ingredient in many industrial processes. Chemical Formula: CaO Calcination Process The quality of Quick Lime produced is directly dependent on the quality of raw material ***** Lime Stone used. The production of high grade quicklime (CaO) requires a large amount of heat, which is generated in the kiln environment. The process of heating the lime stone in controlled temperatures and time is known as Calcination. The quarried and sized high calcium limestone travels through a rotary kiln and is subjected to these high temperatures where the calcium carbonate begins to dissociate with the resultant formation of calcium oxide. The minimum temperature for the dissociation of calcium carbonate is ***8oF (**8oC). For practical production purposes, however, the kiln temperature range is from an initial temperture of about ***0oF (**4oC) to a final temperature of about ***0oF (***6oC).
