Product Description

Outdoor textiles are expected to last for many years. Gütermann offers a special thread made of polytetrafluorethylene (PTFE). This product has very good temperature-, ultra-violet light and chemical resistance and its shows high breaking strength and abrasive resistance. Sun, rain, wind and weather are particularly hard on outdoor textiles. Seams are placed under the most severe strain, and quickly lose their resilience and firmness under the influence of UV radiation and extreme weather conditions. Functional capabilities of standard sewing threads lessen if permanently exposed to outdoor conditions by up to *0 percent in the firstyear; but Gütermann PTFE *0 shows its strength.
