Multi-Piece Barrier Free Shower: A multi-piece barrier free shower is designed with a low threshold for easy entry and exit. This style of handicap shower is ideal for retrofitting existing bathrooms, can be installed on the existing sub-floor and doesn’t require recessing the floor under the shower. Barrier free units are designed to replace existing bathtubs. All handicap showers have plywood backing to permit easy installation of grab bars and shower seats.
