Application of rotary kiln
Rotary kiln refers to rotary calciner(commonly known as rotary kiln). It belongs to building material equipment, and used to calcine cement clinker. Rotary cement kiln is the core equipment of new dry process cement production line. It is the main equipment to calcine the raw material which has been grinded and confected into clinker under high temperature, commonly known as “heart of the cement plant”.

Working principle of rotary kiln
Raw meal powder is fed into the cylinder through the tremie pipe at the high end of the kiln tail, due to the slope and rotation of the cylinder, the material make a composite motion—it rolls in circumferential direction and at the same time moves in axial direction from high to low end. After decomposition, sintering and other technical processes, the raw material is calcined into cement clinker and discharged from the bottom of the cylinder to the cooler. Sprayed into the kiln from the kiln head, the fuel burns in the kiln and the heat it emits heat the raw material, making the raw meal calcined into clinker. The hot air formed during the material exchange enters the kiln from the feed end, and is finally emitted into the atmosphere through the chimney.

Structure characteristics of rotary kiln
The rotary kiln is composed of cylinder, supporting device, gear wheel device, drive, moving kiln head, sealing device for kiln tail, coal burner and so on. The kiln body is tilted and supported by riding wheel device, and it also has gear wheel device which controls the shuttle of kiln body up and down. The drive device not only has main drive, but also has auxiliary drive. When the power is out, the auxiliary drive can still make the kiln body rotate and prevent it from bending deflection. The sealing device for kiln head and kiln tail adopts advanced technology, making sure the sealing is reliable.
