The frames on these new parasols are something very special. You can forget the 4 or 6mm rod you normally find on even a big garden umbrella. These use a very chunky metal box section *0 x *2mm to provide an exceptionally strong frame for the 2 metre wide canopy.
The canopy is a cool contemporary, hexagonal design, top vented. The vents serve two purposes, firstly they allow wind to pass through while keeping rain out, making the parasol less susceptible to wind damage and when the sunshade is folded, air can circulate helping to discourage the growth of mould.
The centre shaft is a two piece powder coated steel pole with ground spike for soft ground.
The Savannah Dusk range are shower resistant so work well as a garden umbrella, while UV protection qualities of the fabric ensure they make an effective sunshade. They come in a matching carry / storage bag. The bag is fitted with a shoulder strap, making it easy to take with you when you go out for the day, perhaps for a picnic or down to the beach. Indeed you could kill two birds with one stone... and actually have a picnic on the beach.
