Sculptras is an injectable cosmetic filler that can be used to restore facial volume lost due to aging or illness. It contains poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a biocompatible synthetic substance that stimulates collagen production. It can be used to treat deep lines, creases, and folds to give a more youthful appearance.

The areas commonly treated with Sculptra® include: the temples, the mid cheek region and the lower face for hollowing, depressions, fine lines and jowls. Sculptras® can be evenly distributed in all of these areas or focused injections can be performed in specific target regions

Sculptras will last 2-3 years once the series of treatments are completed. So while it is a bit more costly than H.A. fillers, patients often justify spending a little more for the time in which they can enjoy results. Most fillers only last a year at the most so Sculptra is considered a great investment

Sculptras is a synthetic filler that you receive by injection. It stimulates the body's collagen production and works in a gradual, progressive manner to firm your skin and lift depressed areas. The filler improves the skin's thickness over time as well and corrects any facial abnormalities that exist.

The Sculptras solution is injected below the skin and collagen is gradually produced over the course of a few weeks. Volume in the treatment areas becomes noticeable over this time period. It is often necessary to repeat the injections a few times over the course of three to four months to achieve desired results.
