It is highly resistant and durable. Quartz is one of the most useful natural materials, due to its physical and chemical properties plus the hardness make it valuable in electronic products as construction of semiconductors  and optical instruments,  parts and components, its luster color and diaphaneity make it useful for the industry of glass making for decorative materials in construction, or in the production of glass containers, flat plate glass, specially glass and fiberglass. its hardness makes it ideal for the fabrication of scouring cleansers, grinding media, and grit for sanding and sawing, or in the use of sand blasting. Quartz is also used as a flux in the smelting of metals. In the petroleum industry the quartz sand helps to hold the fractures open after pressure is release, then open fractures facilitate the flow of natural gas into the well bore. it is used also as a filler in the manufacture of rubber, paints, in medicine as a component of pills and so many other uses.
