Product Description
We produce Sintered Alnico magnet since ***1.Alnico is an acronym
referring to metal alloys which are composed primarily of aluminium
(symbol Al), nickel (symbol Ni) and cobalt (symbol Co), hence
al-ni-co, and iron, with the addition of copper, and sometimes
titanium. Alnico alloys are ferromagnetic, and used to make
permanent magnets. Before the development of rare earth magnets in
the ***0s, they were the strongest type of magnet. Other trade
names for alloys in this family are: Alni, Alcomax, Hycomax,
Columax, and ***** composition of alnico alloys is typically 8~*2%
Al, *5~*6% Ni, 5~*4% Co, up to 6% Cu, up to 1% Ti, and the balance
is Fe. A high working temperature limit (**0 C / ***0 F) makes
Alnico especially well suited for sensitive automotive and aircraft
sensor applications. Other popular Alnico applications include:
Instruments, security sensors, magnetos, electronic distributors,
separators, electron tubes, traveling wave tubes, radar, holding
magnets, coin acceptors, generators and motors, clutches and
brakes, relays, controls, receivers, telephones, microphones, bell
ringers, guitar pickups, loudspeakers, security systems, cow
magnets. Alnico is produced in many grades to fit the requirements
of these applications, from Alnico 1 to Alnico *2, but the most
popular grades are 2, 5 and 8. By comparison to newer materials,
like ceramic, Nd-Fe-B and Sm-Co the coercivity of Alnico is low, so
they have replaced Alnico where cost and/or greater resistance to
demagnetization are valued more than a high temperature limit and
temperature stability.
