Soybean Oil Deodorizer Distillate (SODD), a byproduct of the soybean oil refining process, is a complex mixture of compounds, such as free fatty acids (FFA) hydrocarbons, and sterols, such as tocopherols, a class of major natural antioxidants with vitamin E activity. It's are waste products of edible oil processing industries obtained during the deodorization process of vegetable oils. It is a very cheap source of several health-beneficial components such as tocopherols, sterols, and squalene as well as free fatty acids which have numerous industrial applications.
