Product Description

The STMMA-FD is one of the series of STMMA products, it is a kind of expandable Co-polymer resin bead developed by Castchem mainly used to replace the pure EPS used in the lost foam casting process. The polystyrene Copolymerized with less Methyl Methacrylate(approximately 9:1), this formula co-polymer product was designed to solve the porosity defect and fold defect in castings. Meanwhile, adding the organic bromide as an additive will quickly reduce the molecular weight of polystyrene at elevated temperatures.
