SJ**1G is a special –purpose sintered flux developed especially for welding steel pipes that are used in the project of Transporting the Natural Gas from the West to East .With the alkalinity of approx 1.8,it is shaped as grey ,round garins and its grain size is ****5 mesh  (2.**1.4mmm).It can be used with either AC OR DC.The welding wire is connected to the positive electrode when used with DC.It has stable arc combustion ,good slag detachability and a good appearance of weld . The weld metal has higer low-temperature impact toughness.
As a peculiar production technique is adopted,the flux possesses better moisture resistance and good strengh of grains ,which may satisfy the requirements for regular transportation,storage and recycling use in welding.The flux has less specific gravity when it is bulk packed.And it is consumed less during the welding.
