System G (GU*0 replacement) is an RDC LED cluster light system and is the next generation solution to replacing conventional Halogen lights. They feature high efficiency and greater reliability, lasting up to *0, **0 hours compared to the conventional halogen “bulbs” that last up to 3, **0 hours. They also only consume fifty percent of the energy in a like for like power rating. As with all new technology, the cost of implementing this technology is presently higher, however, over it’s the lifespan, the cost works out much cheaper. These cost savings are due to a number of factors; life expectancy, energy saving, and above all, maintenance, particularly when used in commercial environments. There is also the environmental aspect to this technology in terms of Recycling, as well as the energy saving aspect. The system consists fundamentally of two parts; the LED cluster itself, (***** the “lamp”), and a driver which precisely controls the voltage and current to the cluster.
