Product Description

Taurine, also known as β-amino ethanesulfonic acid, was first isolated from the bezoar. The pure product is colorless or white oblique crystal, odorless. Taurine has chemical stability, and is insoluble in ether and other organic solvents. It is a sulfur-containing non-protein amino acid, existing in the form of free state in the body and not involving in the biosynthesis of body protein. Although Taurine is not involved in protein synthesis, it is closely related with the metabolism of cystine and cysteine. CSAD for the synthesis of taurine in human body has low activity, so it mainly relies on ingestion of food taurine to meet the needs of human body.
