Product Specification

Product Description

Transvaal Jade looks like real Jade, the same subtle green nuances with that butter fat look that is prized all over the world. Hear what my clients are saying. "I got that small sample from you and just made a freeform cabochon from it. After polishing it I was astounded by the lustre and depth" You can also own some of this amazing stone.
It is not a true Jade but it is a Grossular Garnet with all the characteristics of a true Jade. It is as hard as Jade, as tough as Jade and as dense as Jade with no cracks or flaws. It was first named Transvaal Jade by German missionaries who mined and sold this to fund their mission work in the previous century amongst the Tswana people of the then Transvaal province of the Union of South Africa. After the discovery of Platinum and Chrome in the area the deposit lay forgotten until rediscovered by us.
We are in the process of mapping the deposit to see where the best stones are to be found and we are getting very good stones already. A good piece of Transvaal Jade has great translucency with good solid colour. We own the deposit and will not flood the market with this and turn it into a commercial stone. This Jade is precious and will be handled and marketed as such.

Our stones have 6 grades. The lowest grade is the dense white Jade, this type had some black Chromium layering on some rocks and some fine black spots. At $1.*0 per kg you cannot go wrong. After cutting this you should be able to make a profit of up to *0 times your initial investment. This grade is perfect for inexpensive beads with a Jade finish.

The next type is huge pieces weighing up to 1 ton a block. This is the ultimate carving rock. You can carve the finest detail because it is both strong and without cracks. Due to layering you will be able to make artistic pieces from one piece of rock by using the different layers of colour. At only $3 per kg introductory price you cannot go wrong.
Then we have white translucent rocks that are indistinguishable from real white Jade with the naked eye. This grade is just $4 per kg.

This one is for this sale - The next lot is the pistachio green type in white, green and black. This is designers rock. Only one type of rock will give you this color combination and that is Transvaal Jade from our mine. I have been told that we are under pricing it at only $5 per kg and I think we are. Buy quickly before the price goes up! I have seen spheres made from this colour combo and one of the members from our local gemstone club said that it is his best sphere in his collection. Try a ton of this and see how much your customers are going to love it.

Our next type is the translucent green and grey type. This is much sought after by the Chinese customers who like it because it looks like expensive Jade. This type is now selling at $8 per kg. This is an introductory price and I predict that prices will double quickly as more and more customers buy it and see what a fine stone it is.

Our last type is the cream of the crop. This is the dark black and malachite green type and the green and pink combinations and the pure gel in all the different color combinations. This rock is scarce and hard to come by. This Transvaal Jade sells for an average price of $**0 per kg. This is like pure gold whereby the finished product sells in carat weight prices. If you want the best quality then you should go for this quality because every piece you cut will turn out a masterpiece.

We will only mine a few tons this season. Make sure that you get some of this bounty. It will increase in value because we are going to control the supply and cut some material ourselves. This will eventually be sold in the finest jewellery stores worldwide under the brand-name JIWE TRANSVAAL JADE. Look out for this brand. It will be the next hottest brand to have in your store. A truly South African stone for a new hip generation.
