Tungsten bars are produced from tungsten metal powder by pressing and then sintering.

They are used in the production of different kinds of tungsten products: filaments, electrodes for hydrogen welding, heaters, thermocouples, electrical contacts in high furnaces, anticathodes and cathodes-ray tubes, medical mirrors and other medical products. They are also used as alloying additions in obtaining special steels and alloys.
