December 5^th , ***4 An American Business Mission to Vietnam is being scheduled from March *8^th to March *6^th , ***5 by Vietnam Resource Group (VRG), a consulting service company based in Newark, DE in cooperation with the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industries, the Export Promotion Center of Vietnam and the Vietnam Trade Office in San Francisco.

The objectives of the mission are to provide its participants with opportunities:

To outsource product manufacturing in Vietnam.
To work with Vietnamese companies that are interested in partnering with American companies.
To learn of various trade and investment opportunities in 3 largest cities in Vietnam.

In addition to a customized working agenda, mission participants will also participate in a number of networking receptions and a seminar on Business Development between the US and Vietnam with Mr. Christopher Runckel as its keynote speaker. Mr. Runckel, President of Business-in-Asia who was one of the first US diplomats assigned to Vietnam to establish the normalization of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

After *0 years since the normalization of the diplomatic relationship, the US and Vietnam governments are currently working to achieve a strategic partnership to further cooperation on security, trade….
Exports from Vietnam to the US have been increased from US$**0 million in ***4 - the year the embargo was lifted - to over US$ *5 billion in ***3.
Vietnam joined the trade negotiations in ***1 to participate in the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) which would increase Vietnam export to **7 billion by ***5. In addition, Vietnams membership in a completed TPP would raise its import by *7% and strengthen the countrys links to the global supply chain.
Many Japanese, Taiwanese, Korean and Chinese companies are moving their manufacturing operations to Vietnam.
