It is especially recommended for the UV stabilisation of polypropylene tapes and injection moulded articles. It CANNOT be used in fibre applications like non-wovens, etc.

USAGE

General recommendations based upon natural exposure tests. Specific applications have to be 

discussed. 

1. PP tapes
Exposure: *5° South Florida
Failure criterion: KLy to *0% tensile strength retention
Samples: PP tapes of *0 micron containing UV uvr3
KLy to *0% tensile strength retention

1 % UV UVR***0

2. PP thick sections

Exposure: *5° South Florida
Failure criterion: KLy to *0% retained impact strength
Samples: PP blockcopolymer parts of 2 mm thickness

KLy until *0% retained impact strength

Because of so many factors influencing the overall UV stability, it is important to know 

that our recommendations are based upon evaluations under IDEAL TESTING CONDITIONS, and can 

only be used as a guideline!

UV UVR3 can be used for food-packaging according to:

PACKAGING AND STORAGE
UV UVR3 is packed in *5 kg polyethylene bags on shrink-wrapped pallets. The storage time should not exceed *2 months for optimum performance.
