VAD (VAGD) Hydroxyl-Modified vinyl resin

A medium molecular weight, partially hydrolyzed vinyl chloride/vinyl acetate resin, made in a two-step precess, having a composition of approximately *0 percent vinyl chloride, 4 percent vinyl acetate, 6 percent vinyl alcohol, with a hydroxyl content of approximately 2.3 percent. VAD has excellent adhesion on PET, resin primer, paper, PVC, ABS, pre-treatment of PE and OPP.

VAD has good compatibility with other film-forming material, such as alkyd resins, polyurethane elastomers, isocyanate resin, melamine resin, urea-formaldehyde, epoxy polymers and so on. So VAD often used with other film-forming material in order to improve the coating performance, enhance paint adhesion, flexibility, tenacity, hardness and chemical resistance. The hydroxyl functional group permits crosslinking reactions for thermoset , obtaining excellent chemical and water resistance.

Application:VAD can be used for a wide range of coatings applications, including marine anti-corrosion paint, gravenu ink, chassis paints, industrial maintenance, PU and wood finishes, paper coatings, PET inks, interbedded adhesive, and adhesive for magnetic tape and carbon ribbon.
