Gather two large bowls and a hand towel. Fill one bowl with warm water and a small amount of a mild detergent. Fill the second bowl with clean rinse water.

Holding the eraser with the pad side down, dip the eraser in the soapy water and rub the pad surface to remove the marker residue.

Dip the eraser in the rinse water and squeeze the soapy water out of the eraser, holding the handle out of the water.

Ring the water out of the eraser by squeezing the pad surface. Blot the remaining moisture on the hand towel.

Lay the eraser with the pad side up and allow to air dry. Once dry, fluff the pad of the eraser and spray a mist of dry-erase spray to eliminate any stiffness.
