1. SCOPE
This specification covers *1KV(Um=*2KV) copper conductor XLPE insulated steel tape armoured
PVC sheathed cables generally in accordance with IEC ******2:***5.

2. CONSTRUCTION
a) Conductor : Plain copper wire, circular compact stranded, Class 2 as per IEC ****8.

b) Conductor screen : Extruded thermoset semi-conducting compound

c) Insulation : XLPE

d) Insulation screen : Extruded thermoset semi-conducting compound

e) Metallic screen : Double copper tape overlap helix applied over the insulation screen

f) Filler : Suitable filler with binding tape

g) Armour: Double galvanized steel tape helix applied over the inner sheath

h) Sheath : Black coloured PVC compound
