Morel (MORCHELLA), also known as
grass bamboo, is a precious edible and medicinal mushroom. Morels
were discovered in ***8. Its structure is similar to that of the
disc fungus, and the upper part is folded and meshed like a
honeycomb and a sheep tripe, hence the name. Morels are
particularly productive in the two to three years following
wildfires, so pickers in North America will collect morels based on
wildfires. However, when the fire is contained, its growth
decreases year after year within the same area.
