Adenovirus Feces Test (Colloidal Gold)

FOR PROFESSIONAL IN VITRO DIAGNOSTIC USE ONLY

The One Step Adenovirus Feces Test is a rapid chromatographic immunoassay for the qualitative detectionof adenovirus in feces. This kit is intended to be used as an aid in the diagnosis of adenovirus infection.

The One Step Adenovirus Test is a qualitative membrane strip based immunoassay for the detection ofadenovirus in feces. In this test procedure, Adenovirus antibody is immobilized in the test line region of thedevice. After an adequate volume of test specimen is placed in the specimen well, it reacts with Adenovirusantibody coated particles that have been applied to the specimen pad. This mixture migrateschromatographically along the length of the test strip and interacts with the immobilized Adenovirusantibody. If the specimen contains Adenovirus, a colored line will appear in the test line region indicating a positive result. If the specimen does not contain Adenovirus, a colored line will not appear in this regionindicating a negative result. To serve as a procedural control, a colored line will always appear at thecontrol line region indicating that proper volume of specimen has been added and membrane wicking has

occurred.
