Originally from the Middle East, Peas soon spread throughout the Mediterranean region and on to India and China. The cultivation of Peas in Europe helped to stave off a famine in England in ***5. Peas are most commonly used in their split form. Whole Green Peas are an acceptable substitute for fresh peas. Today, Canada is the world's largest exporter. 

Green Peas (Matar Daal) are sun dried and stored for supplying round the year.The Green Peas are available from mainly western part of Canada.This green peas are marketed as Whole Green Peas with Green Peas #1 , Green Peas #2 and Green Peas #3 and Feed Grade depending on the split ,dockage and bleach percentage.

The varieties are Sage,Striker,Sergeant,Espace etc...

Field peas are also available for Animal Feed with standard specification.
