HARD WOOD CHARCOAL

 Chatcoal is processed from trees felled in the abundant forests of Nigeria.  Felling is controlled by relevant authorities to avoid deforestation. This could result from indiscriminate cutting down of trees. The government has set up stringent measures, to ensure that charcoal production is conducted only in approved areas. Replanting projects have been commissioned by government to protect the environment and assure our customers future supply.

 
Charcoal is made by burning wood in the absence of oxygen. A very common tree used is the locust bean tree which grows in the middle belt region of Nigeria. Other trees are the ''Ayin'' (Anogeissus leiocarpus),Acacia tree , shea tree as well as Mandarin or ''Kosso'' wood. The only substance left after burning is carbon.
Our rigorous processes during selection of charcoal for export guarantees product that is free of ash, dust, and excessive moisture. It has a capacity to achieve very high temperatures without sparking or popping issues. Burning times as high as 5 hours are achievable

We have in house capability via our quality assurance department to test the moisture content of our hard wood charcoal supply, if required, a third party confirmation can be carried out by SGSor other pre shipment inspection agent at added cost.
