The oil is obtained from wild seeds of Hazenut (Gevuina Avellana mol)

The oil is obtained from wild seeds of Chilean Hazenut (Gevuina Avellana mol) that grows in the south region of Chile. The oil is extracted without solvents nor chemical processing.We obtain the oil by cold pressing and after it is applied a very careful filtration. Finally the oil is packaged saturated in nitrogen.

Uses

The chilean Hazelnut Oil contains a high percentage of palmitoleic fatty acid that allow a quick absortion of this oil in the skin. The oil have a light yellow colour an a pleasant flavour and odour. It can be used topically in massage helping in the reduction of "orange skin" problem, and in aromatherapy.It is used also in different cosmetic formulations including sun protectors.The oil maintains the skin fresh and moisturized.Also it can be used in food giving to salad dressings or fine cuisine a sophisticated light nutty flavour (see Oils - Hazelnut Delikatessen).

Storage

The product must be stored in a dry and fresh place. The oil is sensitive to light, air (oxygen) and heat. In the unopened package it has a shelf life of two years. If you open the package it is recommended to use the whole at once (specially in the bigger packages of *0 lt and 5 lt). If that is not possible we recommend to bubble nitrogen and close tightly inmediatly after taking out the portion of product you need. This oils is very stable. Nevertheless we recommend to take care of the above indications however.
