Tongkat Ali mainly grows
in the primitive tropical rain forest near the equator in Southeast
Asia. It usually grows mostly on humid and sandy slopes. The
maturity period is generally more than 5 years. It is evergreen all
year round. The trunk has almost no branches, leaves and fruits. It
can be mashed to maintain and nourish the skin, but it is the root
that is most valuable.
