~~POLYMAGIC LED Glass *-Q&A*-
Q: What is the maximum glass size?
A: It can be up to as large as *3 x **7.5 (***0 mm x ***0 mm).

Q: What is the maximum film size?
A: LED film can be up to *3 x **4 (***0 mm x ****0 mm).

Q: What is the thickness of the glass?
A: It ranges from 1/4 or 6.3 mm (2 mm + 2 mm) to **9/*6 or *0.3 mm (*9 mm + *9 mm).

Q: What are the various glass types?
A: Annealed, tempered, low-iron glass, tinted-color, reflective, curved, mirrored, insulating glass.

Q: What are the available LED colors?
A: White, blue, green, red, and whitish-yellow (warm white).

Q: Is R-G-B available with POLYMAGIC™?
A: Yes, but the R-G-B is laminated with a combination of 4 panels so the glass would be very thick. Alternatively, one can use PolyDigit™ to satisfy the R-G-B requirement.

Q: What is the operational voltage?
A: The power is **0 **0 VAC, which if converted to DC is 6V *8 V, depending on the design.

Q: What is the power consumption per LED?
A: Each LED requires approximately 0.*6 Watts (i = *0 mA, V = 6 VDC; P = iV = (0.*1)(6) = 0.*6 W).

Q: Can multiple glass panels be connected together?
A: Yes.

Q: What are the advantages of LEDs?
A: The benefits of adopting LED lights are safety and energy efficiency, not to mention the savings on maintenance costs and operation. LEDs can last for over *0 years, and they use *0% less power than the conventional incandescent lights. LEDs require minimal maintenance and can continuously produce lights that are uniform in color and brightness.

Q: Are there any wires in the glass?
A: Yes, but they are not readily visible and will not be aesthetically obtrusive.

Q: Where are the busbar and wires used to power the LEDs located?
A: Normally, the busbar and wires are located both on either the long sides or the short sides of the glass or it can be on a single side depending on the design.

Q: What is the environmental operating temperature range?
A: *0oC to *0oC (4oF to **6oF).

Q: Can the LED glass be sold without the power supply?
A: No, because every POLYMAGIC LED Glass needs the correct voltage and current in order to operate. The power supply needs to have the proper certification (ex. UL, CE) so that it will not damage the POLYMAGIC Glass.

Q: Can the POLYMAGIC LED Glass be sold separately and be compatible with the customers software and other specifications?
A: Yes, the details need to be discussed with Polytronix once the design is in place. However, it is highly recommended that the software and controller from Polytronix be used.

Q: Can R Rated Curved Glass be produced?
A: Provide us with design drawings for confirmation first. Typically, it can be made with a curved R-height less than **0 mm.

Q: Is the technology patented?
A: Yes.

Q: What is the normal lead time?
A: 4 weeks.

Q: What is the cost?
A: It depends on the design, the glass type, and the number of LEDs.

Q: What is the lifetime of the POLYMAGIC LED Glass?
A: *0 years or more.

Q: What is the warranty?
A: 1 year.

Q: Are there any design charges for the logos or patterns?
A: Yes, depending on the design.

Q: What are some applications of the POLYMAGIC LED Glass?
A: Lightings, bath room/shower enclosures, clinics, conference room tables/benches, hospitals (emergency, ICU, operation room), hurricane-resistant windows, inner doors/shop windows, façades, residential shelf skylights, roof lights, cosmetic specialty counters, shops/boutiques, clocks, electronic products, and more.

Q: What are some of the unique features of the POLYMAGIC LED Glass?
A: Glass sizes can be made quite large, thus meeting the requirements of even the most extreme projects. LEDs are very bright and shine on both sides not just on only one side. The LED glass can be curved and laminated with different types of glass. It can also be used in mirrors. It provides up to *9% UV and *0% IR protection. It can serve as a safety glass covering (like the front glass in automobiles). It can be used in combination with Polytronixs other unique glass types.

Q: How much would the glass weigh?
A: For a *2 mm (7/*6) thick glass, it would weigh 7.0 lbs. or 3.2 kg per square foot.

Q: Can the cables support the glass?
A: There are wire attachments to the glass. Those wires cannot handle the stress, which means you cannot pull on the wires to move it or use it to hang the glass. For mounting purposes, you will need to utilize a frame or allow us to drill holes into the glass.

Q: Are the cables able to provide power to the lights from the transformer/power supply?
A: No, the wires provide power to the lights not cables.

Q: Are the LED lights visible from both sides of the glass?
A: Yes, there will be a sticker noting the front side or back side on the glass.

Q: Is the brightness equally represented on both sides of the glass?
A: No, the front side will be about *5% brighter than the back side.

Q: What type of shop drawings do you need in order to proceed?
A: Any dimensional drawings from any software showing the locations of the LEDs would suffice. However, we prefer AutoCAD.

Q: What is the maximum number of LEDs that can be placed?
A: It depends on the design and function of the glass.

Q: What is the minimum pitch of the LEDs?
A: It depends on the glass size, busbar location, the quantity, and location of the LEDs.

Q: What is the lumen level of the LED?
A: Typically, white ***0 mcd; warm white ***0 mcd; red **0 mcd; green **0 mcd; blue **0 mcd, which are approximately 1 7 lumens (white/warm white are 6 7 lumens).

Q: What is the thickness of the POLYMAGIC LED Glass consisting of 5 mm glass + 2.5 mm PVB + 5 mm glass?
A: Total glass thickness *0 + 2.3 mm = *2.5 mm.

Q: What is the percent transmission (i.e. the transparency) of the glass?
A: A POLYMAGIC LED Glass with a *2.5 mm thickness has VLT of *0%.

Q: Is the use of a UV film recommended in order to protect the LEDs that are exposed to direct sunlight indoors?
A: No, the POLYMAGIC™ Glass is already equipped with UV protection.

Q: Is there a water condensation issue?
A: We laminate all materials inside the glass with full a cover interlayer. The wires are also laminated inside the glass; IP can be *5.
