In southern Africa and Zambia in particular, rosewood is best known as Mukula.
 
African rosewood is a common name for several plants and may refer to: Millettia laurentii, a legume tree from Africa and native to the Republic of Congo, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Cameroon, Gabon and Equatorial Guinea. The tree produces "wenge", a kind of wood.
 
Species in the genus Guibourita, including Guibourita coleosperma, a tree species found almost exclusively on Kalahari sand in Angola but also in nearby south-central African countries.
 
Rosewood color is durable. The color of the rosewood is reddish brown. Generally, the quality of the "grease" is high, and the texture is clear and varied. Rosewood furniture can be polished and lacquered, smooth and lustrous, and it is durable and gives a kind of subtle and subtle beauty.
