Aifen foods(Beijing) co., ltd, locates on YanQi industrial zone, Huairou district, Beijing, as the sole invested corporate by Mars inc In Aifen foods, office area of roughly 1, **0 square meters is open structured with air conditioning system of *0, **0 m3/hour supply air capacity in dual modes of heat & cool. Uniform & comfortable air dispersion without feeling of draught and easy to launder and maintain are all required in this project. Overseas factories of Mars inc., however, has already employed fabric ductwork before, so the project manager decided to use fabric air dispersion system. But they met a problem of supplying air to the two small meeting rooms located at northeast corner which needed precise design and layout. The ceiling height in office area being low( around 4m), we chose PE air dispersion mode, namely, delivering air to the targeted area via fabric permeation and orifices air ejection. The air was thus delivered into the interior space in large air coverage, low air velocity and uniform air distribution bringing feeling of comfort to building occupants. We installed 2 trunk ducts of **3mm dia. in the office area, each of which was connected to two branch ducts via T-connector. Through this design, the air dispersion covers the whole office area, leaving no dead-angle area. To address air dispersion problem of small meeting rooms, we installed a duct on the northeast corner for both air ventilating in that area and delivering airflow to the two meeting rooms. Furthermore, an air flow control device was fixed at the end to save energy when the meeting rooms are not occupied. In this project, installation is also very essential. Because each trunk duct is to be connected to 2 branch ducts via T-connector and one of the branch ducts is to supply air to the meeting rooms, any inaccuracy of locating could result in dislocation between branch duct and the meeting room.
