It can be used on a wide range of hazardous spills and suitable to control spills on the ocean, on highways or in factories, garages and hospitals. To further increase the absorbent effect, coconut peat absorbent has been made into compressed pellets which expend the moment they come into contact with fluids. Compressed 5:1, the pellets rapidly expand to maximum effect. Compressed pellets also provide 5 times the useable volume of absorbent in each bag enabling shipping costs to be reduced. One truck load of coconut peat absorbent takes 4 truck loads of non-compressed absorbents off our congested highways. Coconut peat absorbent is offered in industrial and domestic packaging. Industrial applications in *5kg bags include: airports, hospitals, factories, off-shore oil rigs, harbour pollution control, fire departments, police, highway departments, county councils, car and truck repair workshops� For domestic spills on a non absorbent surface coconut peat absorbent is packed in 1 litre, 5 litres and *2 litres Typical applications include: aviation fuel, petrol, diesel and AV gas, water and water based chemicals, mild corrosives, mineral and vegetable based cooking oils, lubricants, solvents, brake and clutch fluids, pesticides, herbicides, liquid organic waste, flood water and body fluids. It is also ideal for treating oil spills on the ocean and coastline rehabilitation. Unlike many other absorbents, coconut peat absorbent starts its absorbent action immediately upon contact and at lightening speed. Spread around the periphery of the spill it immediately curtails spreading. Filling in towards the centre, coconut peat absorbent swiftly and efficiently gathers the spill into its cellular structure, enabling it to be simply brushed away with a stiff broom.
