RE : Western Rock Lobster We are exporting Live Lobster and Greenlip Abalone in Western Australia, below are the information of Live Lobster for you consideration, Thanks Lobster Fishing Season Lobster fishing season commenced mid-November and runs through until around the end of August (or the catch quota is exhausted), during this time there are various closures/ non-fishing days enforced by our fisheries government body to ensure the species is not over-fished. This year we reached our catch limit in mid-May. Daily Shipping We usually sell live lobster into China via Hong Kong. We organize stocks, prices, flights etc each morning, confirm orders with buyers and the orders are loaded out that afternoon from our holding facilities. Flights leave the same night and arrive in HK the next morning. Customer\**9;s then transport/ distribute their goods to HK or across the border to China, or sell locally in HK. Prices quoted are cost of goods plus freight - no insurance is calculated in the per kilogram rates I have indicated (customers are encouraged to take out their own insurance) or we can include insurance in your price quotation - this would then increase the per kilogram. Minimum orders are typically *0 x *5kg cartons (**0kg net cartons) to Hong Kong. Quality/ Arrival Conditions We are well known by customers/ importers for the superior quality and strong arrival condition of live lobsters. Many years of research and dedication to improving grading, packaging and transportation procedures has resulted in an average mortality percentage for shipments to HK airport ~1.**2% of total shipment. If for some reason you were to receive a shipment where the quality was not up to our usual standard; our industry accepted mortality rate is 5% and below - if the mortality is 5% or less then the cost is carried by the buyer. If the percentage is higher than 5% then the cost is split (less 5%) between customer and GFC. Our average mortality percenta
