Description
TPEE exhibits a wide range of
hardness, good structural strength, outstanding toughness and
resilience and resistance to impact and flex.
TPEE is processed with ease and
shows good melt fluidity, stable melt state, low shrinkage and fast
crystallization rate.
For most applications, TPEE could
be used directly. The other special requirements could be achieved
by adding corresponding additives.
TPEE are mainly used in those
fields requiring shock absorption, impact and flex resistance,
seal, elasticity, resistance to oil/chemicals as well as enough
strength. For instance, polymer modification, automobile fittings,
telescopic phone wire, hydraulic pressure hose, material for shoes,
transmission strap, rotational molding tire, gear, flexible
connect, silencing gear, slide of the elevator and materials used
for piping valve in chemical facility with resistance to corrosion,
abrasion, low and elevated temperatures, etc.
This grade has favorable
toughness at low temperatures, good tear resistance and is easy to
spray-paint. TPEE needs no primer and shows excellent long-term
adhesion to oil paint. Its flexibility ensures favorable polish for
air cell when it unfolds at low temperatures; walls of products
could be thinned due to its high tear strength when processing.
Currently, TPEE has been widely used to produce shell of air bag
because of its good balance of properties at both elevated and low
temperatures. The shell could be painted without properties being
affected; the coating adheres well and its volatile components
won’t pulverize; UV resistance; impact resistance.
