Zn/Hg Alloy for Fluorecent Lamps
Recently Zn/Hg amalgam has been used
for the fluorecent lamps as a solid free flowing substitute instead
of liquid mercury. The amount of available mercury for vaporization
in a solid Zn/Hg sphere is a very important point in selecting the
appropriate sphere mass according to the fluorecent lamps wattages.
This Zn/Hg amalgam can be successfully applied to the standard
linear, circular and compact fluorecent lamps.
Most of fluorecent lamps filled with liquid mercury have been
producing with excess liquid mercury of **5 times more than the
required dose to meet the environmental regulations expected in the
future. Excess dose of mercury have a serious environmental problem
from excessive dose of mercury, solid Zn/Hg we routinely produce
can be used for fluorecent lamps instead of liquid mercury. By
introducing the accurated mercury can be avoided. Solid dose can
make the lamp manufactures easier to handle and reduce exposure
danger to mercury in the workplace. They are produced with a
precise amount of mercury. Also, we can provide you with any other
alloys like Bi-In-Hg,Bi-Pb-In-Hg, Bi-Sn-Hg, etc., for compact
fluorecent lamps which operate at a higher temperature.
