The Paraffin Block Trimmer is one of the lab equipments using
for the histological research.
The instrument enables the researchers to trim the paraffin blocks
automatically. This instrument removes only paraffin residues
around the paraffin blocks without damage to the tissue samples or
the plastic cassette.
When users load the paraffin blocks finished the embedding
process, the blocks moves to trim the paraffin residues into the
instrument and the trimmed block is discharged from the outlet of
the instrument, this instrument also enables to save the research
time and to prevent the users from any injuries caused by the
conventional trimming method.
Features
Save time and labor of researchers
Protect researchers from physical damages by conventional
trimming tools like razor.
Max. **0 paraffin blocks can be trimmed in an hour.
Semipermanant life time of trimming modules. (Cutting blade
replacement is unnecessary)
Check trimmed block quantity on the LCD Panel.
LCD Panel shows the status of trimming process
Suitable for various kinds of embedding cassettes.

How to Use
1) Check the power line connection
2) Turn on the main power switch located at the bottom of left
side.
3) Load a paraffin block onto the block tray number 1 at first, and
then load another block onto tray number 2 successively.
When you load a block onto tray number 2, the instrument starts
running.
A sensor which detects the block and its loading direction is
located at the position of tray number 2.
When there is no block loaded on the tray number 2, the equipment
does not work.
Whenever the paraffin block in the tray number 2 is placed at the
wrong direction, the alarm rings and the red LED lamp is on.
The instrument starts trimming work in 0.5 second after blocks are
loaded onto the block tray number 2.
Do not load a block onto the tray number 3 which is designed for
the user’s safety purpose.
4) When the instrument starts running, load blocks only onto the
tray number 1 to continue.
Once a block is loaded onto the tray number 2, the conveyor belt
immediately starts moving after 0.5 second.
So it is not recommended to load a block onto tray number 2 after
the instrument starts running.
5) Loaded blocks are transferred to the inside of the instrument,
and 2 trimming modules trim the 4 sides of the blocks
mechanically.
6) When the block is trimmed completely, the number of the trimmed
block is displayed on the LCD monitor.
7) The trimmed blocks are automatically extruded from the outlet of
the instrument and collected in a container to be prepared by a
user.
8) The wastes of paraffin removed from the blocks are to be
collected into the waste box under the conveyer belt inside the
instrument.
9) When the waste box is full with the paraffin residues, the alarm
sounds and message shows “Clean waste box” and the instrument comes
to stop automatically.
In this case, open the front door to take out the waste box. After
cleaning the box, fit it into the instrument and close the door to
continue the work.
