Azobe/Ekki or Red Iron wood is botanically called lophira alata spp and is a species of the family of Ochnaceae and mostly found in central africa and west africa subregion. It is natural habitat in subtropical or tropical moist low lands forest. The timber is extremely hard and used for railroad ties and bridge planking. Our specification is FAS and air dried (AD).
