Description of (Cedar Wood Oil) essential oil:
Cedar wood oil is extracted from the chips and saw dust of cedar tree by distillation.Cedar oil is widely used in aromatherapy.  It is also used as an insect repellent.  Cedar wood oils each have characteristic woody odor which may change somewhat in the course of drying out. The crude oil is yellowish or even darker in colour. It is used as  fragrance in soap perfumes, household sprays, floor polishes and insecticides. It is also used for cleaning  microscopes. These important constituents if the cedar oil are  cedrol and cedrene, and they contribute to the odor of the oil and are  valuable to the chemical industry for conversion to other derivatives with fragrance applications. The oil is therefore used directly and as sources of chemical isolates.
