The SHS**0 MPPT is Solnigy's elite product. The system has several additional features such as MPPT, a device that helps maximize the power produce by the solar panel during the day. This helps keep batteries charging during all day of day. The system was designed to specifically to hold loads such as water pumps and refrigerators, thanks to also to its high overload performance.

MPPT

The Maximum Power Point Tracker (MPPT) is a device placed these solar systems feature, that allow to get the maximum possible power from one or more solar modules. This solar system is the most efficient of our product line, since its charging solar panels maximize the use of the sun at all hours of the day. This is the number one recommended system in terms of cost value.

At night, an off-grid PV power system may use batteries to supply loads. Although the fully charged battery pack voltage may be close to the PV array's maximum power point voltage, this is unlikely to be true at sunrise when the battery has been partially discharged. Charging may begin at a voltage considerably below the array maximum power point voltage, and an MPPT can resolve this mismatch.

In an off grid system, when batteries are fully charged and PV production exceeds local loads, an MPPT can no longer operate the array at its maximum power point as the excess power has no load to absorb it. The MPPT must then shift the array operating point away from the peak power point until production exactly matches demand.
