Description

Anti-stripping Agents are chemicals used to prevent seperation of Bitumen from road aggregates when they are in contact with water. This seperation results in destruction of asphalt layers leading to road failure.

Limestone is supposed to be a good aggregate for road construction and when pure, is resistant to stripping. However when limestone contains variable amount of silica, it starts showing increasing level of stripping and damage in presence of water. This problem is difficult to control with common types of Anti-stripping Additives. "DERBO****-P5" is a meltable solid flakes type Anti-stripping agent with characteristic fatty and ammonia like odour. This products is thermally stable in hot bitumen for suitable duration of time with low dose requirement. Specially suitable for mix-limestone with difficult to control stripping. No significant effect on normal bitumen properties, compatible with most bitumen grades. Fit for Hot-mix and Warm-mix formulations.

"DERBO****-P5" can also be used as "WARM-MIX ADDITIVE" with any type of aggregate.
