Vitamin B*2 is an essential vitamin that is absorbed through the intestine. Where an animal has a pancreatic insufficiency intrinsic factor, which is essential for the absorption of B*2, is not produced leading to a deficiency in vitamin B*2. Our product contains intrinsic factor which allows it to be absorbed by the animal, without the presence of the intrinsic factor the B*2 would pass straight through the intestine resulting in a progression of the deficiency.
