VINYL ACETATE (MONOMER)
Vinyl acetate is mainly used in the production of poly (vinyl
acetate) and copolymers
with other olefins. Polyvinyl acetate alcoholized further to
became polyvinyl alcohol
used to make PVA fiber (Vigny Lun) and adhesive. Ethylene
vinyl acetate resin (EVA)
obtained from vinyl acetate and ethylene is an important
textile auxiliary, adhesive,
raw material for wireless binding hot melt adhesive used in
printing industry,
and rigid PVC modifier. Vinyl acetate copolymer
derived
from vinyl acetate and vinyl chloride is the raw material for
making records.
These copolymers can also be used as paints and colloids as
protective agents.
