Medium Cloud Point Glycol. Cloud Point is the temperature where the Glycol additive clouds out from the solution and plugs the mud ingress points in shales. This prevents the equalization of hydrostatic pressure between the well bore and formation, reducing instability. The Glycol can be used with water-based systems using fresh to medium salinity water and can be used in wells with moderate formation temperatures, in lieu of Oil Based or Synthetic Systems.
