Calcium Superphosphate

Chemical Property

White or grayish - gray granular (or powdered) fertilizer. Most of them can be soluble in water, a small part is insoluble in water but totally can be soluble in 2% citric acid solution.

How to Use.

Calcium superphosphate provides phosphorus, calcium, sulfur and other nutrients for plants, and it is a kind of acid fertilizer, which is more suitable for limestone and neutral soil.

For acid soil, before using calcium superphosphate, farmer firstly need to apply  lime fertilization &  turning plough well, then using phosphate fertilizer. not to mix calcium superphosphate together with lime, otherwise  the effectiveness of phosphate fertilizer will be reduced.

Calcium superphosphate is especially suitable for the application of sulfur deficient soil, even if  not S deficient  soil, which is also suitable for crops with special sulfur requirements such as cereals, beans, peanuts, and pastures.

Make it as Granulated fertilizer with a diameter of 3~5 millimeters.
It is more effective to use the granular in the strong fixing force of soil.

Because the available phosphorus is dissolved gradually, it has longer effective time and reduces contact with the soil. Granular fertilizer is suitable for using of machinery but the particle size should not be too big, big granular will reduce the contact between phosphate fertilizer and roots.
