Sony's Goodbye to Electronic Industry

Sony has officially issued a press release where the company is going to spin-off its engagement from its audio and video segments as they have previously did with its TV fragment in the past year.

However, Sony never goes beyond the latest trends as they have some exciting range of smart televisions with applications to run on android TV. It is expected to see some exciting disclosures in the form of restructured next level Walkman and camcorders under the cover of Sony brand but from the separate operational unit of Audio-Video division.

Sony’s prospective strategies are very much uncertain and above normal as the company, which is labeled as promising brand, building heart relationships with the users through high-handed products. However, Kaz Hirai, current CEO of the company seems to have some distinct business models by selling out or splitting out some fragmented areas. Recently, they have sold out the VIAO laptop section last year and now, the company is coming up with a hybrid laptops technology being as a separate identity. The CEO also shared its prospective movements like they are considering spinning off the smart phone division in the near future and expected to withdraw its association with TV business as well.

As per Hirai, the Sony will then be based on its three primary areas include Sony pictures entertainment, gaming section (PlayStations) and providing image sensor technology to Apple for featuring iPhones.

Sony is now heavily based and allied with its core business division which is “Image sensors”, selling directly to Apple for its iPhone. Apart from it, the company is also providing sensors to other supreme brands as well, but Samsung always rely on its own created chip for its high-ended phone like galaxy series. God forbid, if Apple finishes its contract with Sony for acquiring image sensors, then Sony will face severe damage that may trembled the revenues of the company.
