In Bangkok, (Thailand) the owner of Unicity hit his 0.2 million dollar Lamborghini Gallardo (the car so hyped in by hip hop songs) and got it into two pieces with him being able to walk out with minor bruises. While this was total luck, the Gallardo may never be able to see the light of the day again after being trucked to the garage where the insurance officials will inspect it.
Pitak Riangsima, the heroic owner, said he was speeding at around 150 KM/H in the rainy season when the car slipped out of his control and went off the highway to hit a tree! After a while he came out of the car, only then realising that it has been shred into two pieces.
He told the police that he left Bangkok to attend a meeting on the Phitsanulok to Nakhonsawan road, but stopped in between in the initial areas somewhere to meet a friend at a Buddhist temple. The monk there told him to wear an amulet that (as per Mr Pitak’s claims) costs millions of baht (Bangkok currency). It was only 19 kilometres from the initial mark of Bangkok roadway that the accident happened at 6pm on Tuesday 22nd of July. According to the pictures snapped by the media men, the car has been broke into almost four to five countable pieces. These parts include of the rear wheels that had come out of the body after the accident; totally busted and crushed.
We do not know this for sure but the frame of all the Lamborghinis is deemed rock solid though in this case the experts give their opinion in this man’s scenario where the frame broke into two rather staying intact.
If, in case, the frame did not break, the Mr Pitak may not have survived the speeding drill towards the trees. All the automotives manufacturers, especially the premium ones like Lamborghini, test their vehicles in smash and crash scenarios within particular laboratories before their official launch. This one obviously was no exception, thought the results show that the “Lambo” was unfit to bear this kind of a hit!
