Densu Ventures Inc Who we are Brief Introduction -Company Densu Ventures Inc. is the premier Canadian manufacturer of high quality horticultural grade coir products called Densu-Coir. We use a manufacturing process that is both environmentally friendly and **0% organic in the manufacture of our products. Nearly all available coir products are derived as byproduct from the production of coconut fibre. The production of coconut fibre requires that coconut husks be soaked in salt water for as long as *8 months. Our Product - Densu-Coir Densu-Coir products are custom manufactured specifically for use by professional growers in the horticultural industry and are not obtained as byproduct of the fibre industry. It took us over *0 years working closely with a large US manufacturer of potting mixes, green house growing media and lawn and garden care products to develop our base coir product Densu-Coir with its unique properties for the horticultural industry. Densu Coir - absorbs and retains more moisture rewets faster has better physical and chemical properties- which can be custom manufactured to grower specifications and grows plants and transplants better We have developed a unique manufacturing process that allows us to custom make our products to suit the particular requirements of our customers. Our manufacturing process makes our products more granular in structure so it is able to absorb and rewet more water faster than traditionally available coir products. Our products have inherently lower EC levels than those of the competition. To make our products even more user friendly to our customers we ship our coir products in a ready to use form that requires NO SOAKING or GRINDING. That saves our customers time and money as well. Product Properties Densu Coir - is specifically produced for the horticulture industry. It is not produced as a byproduct of the fibre industry like most traditionally available coir products. Instead fibre is a byproduct of our proprietary coir producing operation. Our coir products have several features that are of prime importance to the horticultural industry: Densu-Coir products have less salts Better naturally achieved pH balance Absorb more water and at a faster rate than regular coir. Hold nutrients better. Better yield rates than other coir products on the market. We ship our products in Ready to Mix form. There is no need to soak or grind bricks! These features allow our customers to avoid costly media manufacturing and save on labour costs. The results are more cost efficient operation, cleaner workplace environment and better quality product. Because Densu-Coir is NOT a byproduct of the fibre-making industry, our husks are NEVER soaked in salt water and so they start off containing. We use absolutely NO ADDATIVES or ASH in the production of our coir products to achieve our low EC values By our own spring water source with a 7.8 pH level we are able to provide our customer with naturally obtained optimized pH levels. . Densu-Coir is made exclusively from dried husks of coconuts. The husks are collected from local growers and copra producers, washed and put through our unique manufacturing process to ensures that our finished products meet the highest specifications of our customers and USAD requirements. We perform **0% inspection of our products during our manufacturing process to screen out all debris. We have developed a proprietary leaching process that allows most of the naturally occurring salts in our husk inventory to be removed without the use of chemicals or additives. This takes time and the results show. We use No Additives in our manufacture of Densu-Coir. Because our proprietary manufacturing process Densu-Coir products have better air to water ratio and absorb more water faster than traditionally available coir products. This higher amount of air is good for healthy root growth and is helpful in disease prevention. A major drawback to peat moss mixes is that, when they dry out completely, they are very difficult to rewet, becoming more water repellent than water absorbing. They also shrink inside the pot, pulling away from the side of the pot. Densu-Coir does neither - it is easy to rewet and does not shrink inside the pot.
