The man behind Gubuk Bali Export, Simon Susanto, had witnessed hundreds of small and medium craftsmen closing their businesses mostly due to the prolonged ***0 pandemic. They were unable to afford the cost of operating business and the lockdown policies have severely impacted their revenue as they have been relying mostly on international tourism for decades. Despite this situation, we were so inspired by the expertise and experience of the craftsmen that are based in Bali and Java. We learn what the foreign market needs and we try to fill in the gap by establishing Gubuk Bali.
Gubuk Bali strives to be a home for buyers who want to meet their needs, submit their request to make goods of their dreams. On the other hand, it is also a home for the craftsmen to put their skills into practice and reach new markets craving for their products. Gubuk Bali is a brand with a digital presence showcasing our products to the market. We have plentiful resources spread across Indonesia. We have broad experience making products from different natural items such as Teak Wood (both new and recycled woods), Albizia Wood, Suar Wood, DriftWood, Rattan and many more. We also create crafts made of Seagrass, Water Hyacinth, Macrame, Sea Shell, and many more. There are also products made of synthetics, recin and iron.
